Carbon Neutrality Strategic Cooperation for a Marine Engineering Enterprise
Complex and scattered carbon emission sources in marine engineering yards, inconsistent accounting scopes, low utilization of new energy, idle carbon assets, and increasing pressure from compliance and ESG disclosures.
Under the framework of a strategic cooperation agreement, adopted a seven-in-one closed-loop methodology of 'carbon accounting & verification - path planning - digital platform - new energy construction - carbon asset operation - compliance certification - ESG disclosure' to systematically advance the factory's zero-carbon transition.
A Large Marine Engineering Enterprise
Energy-Carbon Management and Green Low-Carbon Transition in Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Manufacturing Industry
Carbon Emission Accounting & Verification, Factory Carbon Neutrality Path Planning Consulting, Digital Energy & Carbon Management Platform Construction, New Energy Expansion Construction, Carbon Asset Trading & Operation, Zero-Carbon Compliance Certification, ESG Report Compiling
Signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a large marine engineering enterprise to build an integrated energy-carbon management system of 'consulting + platform + new energy + carbon assets + certification', helping the factory achieve lifecycle carbon management and carbon neutrality goals.
Challenge
The yard's emission sources are complex, the carbon baseline is unclear, and accounting scopes are chaotic; a carbon neutrality path is missing, and the transition direction is unclear; energy and carbon data silos are severe, and management methods are lagging; new energy utilization is low, with green power accounting for an insufficient proportion; carbon assets are idle and not monetized; international compliance and ESG disclosure pressures are compounding.
Solution
Signed a strategic cooperation agreement to provide seven-in-one services: full-scope carbon accounting & verification to clarify the baseline; formulated a three-stage carbon neutrality path planning; built an AI energy-carbon platform to achieve real-time monitoring and refined management; expanded 12MW solar + storage + shore power to increase the proportion of green electricity; operated carbon assets to achieve transaction value-added; tutored to pass ISO 14064 and PAS 2060 dual certifications; compiled ESG reports meeting GRI/ISSB standards.
Result
Annual total carbon emissions decreased by 18%, and carbon intensity per unit of output value decreased by 22%; green power proportion increased to 35%, saving over 12 million RMB in electricity bills per year; carbon asset trading revenue exceeded 8.6 million RMB; automatic data collection rate reached 95%, reducing manual accounting costs by 70%; ESG ratings improved, securing over 300 million RMB in new green orders.
“Strategic cooperation is not just a simple project delivery, but builds a self-evolving energy-carbon management system for us, making green and low carbon truly the core competitiveness of the enterprise.”
